Tron’s Justin Sun Announces Partnership With Tether – USDT, To Be Integrated On The Tron Blockchain

Tron is teaming up with Tether to integrate the USDT stablecoin on the Tron blockchain. This will reportedly highly support the entire Tron ecosystem.

A new TRC20-based USDT will broaden the Tron network capabilities, and it will also enable interoperability for Tron-based dApps and protocols.

Tron community gets excited

Justin Sun posted the exciting announcement on Twitter, and he said that Tron’s own stablecoin would help the whole Tron ecosystem and it will make it more comfortable for institutions to access the Tron blockchain.

“This integration will elevate our dApp ecosystem, increase DEX liquidity, and enhance accessibility for Partners and institutional investors,” the Tron Foundation posted on Twitter.

As expected the Tron community on Twitter was excited and they congratulated Sun.

Someone said “really amazing !!! the world will finally have a cheap and fast stable coin !!! it was long needed! thanks Tether!! Thanks Tron!”

Another follower also posted “This is great News!! We appreciate all the steps you are taking Justin. I wish everyone was patient. @Tronfoundation and @BitTorrent have their shit together guys. Rome is being built brick by brick, you got to be patient.”

The stablecoin will be integrated in the second quarter of this year. Tether’s USDT is a stablecoin that’s designed to be pegged to the US dollar.

Tron surpasses Ethereum

Tron was recently in the spotlight again when it managed to defeat Ethereum (ETH) in Chinese crypto rankings.

Tron has just made its debut in the Ministry of Industry and Technology Development China’s rankings and, surprisingly or not, it almost made it to the top of the list.

It seems that Tron was able to defeat all the digital assets including Ethereum, but not EOS. The first spot is taken by EOS and the third one but ETH.

The evaluation has been based on creativity, applicability, basic tech ability for 35 projects.
