Ripple’s digital asset XRP managed to resist in a bearish market throughout 2018, and despite the market’s harsh fall in the last quarter of the year, Ripple continued its developments and plans, managing to get more essential partnerships.
XRP was also listed on more crypto exchanges, and the digital asset was overall successful.
Back in September, XRP saw a growth of 200%, and this highlighted the fact that the community’s efforts throughout the year have been paying off.
Besides Ripple, more crypto companies are working hard to make sure that they can come up with real-world use cases for the assets.
This is going to drive adoption, and the value of digital assets is set to rise as well.
2019 will be the year of adoption
Ripple’s Brad Garlinghouse recently said that 2019 would be the year of mass adoption for the digital assets.
Bitrue is one of the latest crypto exchanges to decide that Ripple’s XRP is a great option.
On December 28 Bitrue announced that they decided to add XRP: “We’re happy to announce that we will be on-boarding all #XRP trading pairs in the next couple of months!”
The trading will begin this month, and XRP will be paired with five coins, but their identities are not known at the moment.
Besides this, Kraken, another popular crypto exchange, has recently revealed that they launched margin trading for Ripple’s digital asset XRP and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
Higher interest from banks in cryptos
Garlinghouse discussed the XRP subject at the Singapore FinTech Festival 2018 where he said that regulatory clarity and the opportunity to make money would lead banks to pay more attention to cryptos in 2019.
This could also trigger a price boost for the digital asset.
A recent survey shows XRP gains more trust
A recent survey on Twitter requested for peoples’ opinion on which coins are set to experience massive growth in 2019.
As you can see for yourselves, most of the respondents said that XRP would see the biggest returns in 2019.
According to more and more expert opinions, XRP will continue to battle the market leader of the very first position regarding market capitalization.
